Movin on up.....
I have a new apartment. And it is super sexy.Jess and I had planned on moving in together this summer. Both of our roomiesare graduating so it made sense. We went last week to look at places and found one place we totally fell in love with. Its a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, newly renovated place across the street from where I live now. It has new, beautiful hardwood floors, french doors, a HUGE kitchen, and a laundry room. They had a great special going on so we signed a lease earlier than we originally thought we would. But it works out great cuz I can move all my stuff over there before NYC!
And, the part I'm really excited about, is the decorating. When I moved into this apartment, Sarah already had most things and then her mom and her did the rest. I just kinda moved my stuff in. But yesterday all day Jess and I moved stuff, then we went to Michaels and bought shelves to paint and little projects to bring our apartment together. We then proceeded to sit in the middle of our furniture-less living room and watch old episodes of friends and paint our stuff. It was good times and a great way to spend my day off. It made me really happy to think that I will actually have a roommate that I will get to do a lot of stuff with. This is going to be my last year of college and I'm excited to share a place with someone I'm so close to already. I love Jess to death and I can't think of a better person to have as a roomie, I'm so lucky. :-)
On a different note, I goto NYC next week for a few interviews and to move some of my stuff up. I'm excited for this, but nervous at the same time because all of this stuff is happening so fast. In less than 2 weeks I will be in NYC!! That is excitement.
